A Field Spaniel was bred for long backs and short heavy boned legs as compared to the English Cocker Spaniel. In the process, the ability to perform in the field became less but an affectionate dog has evolved. It has a weather resistant, silky, glossy coat, that maybe liver, roan or black in colour. It is 16-23 kgs in weight and 51-58 cms in height.
