The corded coat of the Komondor gives it a stunning look when one sees the dog for the first time. It has a Hungarian origin. Used by herdsmen, the dog is raised from puppy hood with its flock of sheep and the coat is usually shorn when the sheep are shorn. The coat requires constant attention to prevent the cords from matting together. It weighs 36-61 kgs and is about 65-90 cms tall. | |
